Noone since the first days of the internet calls themselves published except beginners who do not understand their trade. Everyone who knows the purpose of an image knows saying you’re published contradicts the real meaning of a professional image. The two or three professional photography associations in the US and the hundreds of photography associations in the world do not consider Instagram, Facebook or any internet sale or distribution “published” right up to 2024. The courts have backed up all of the photography associations on this subject.
Models and photographers who are actually published, including all supermodels never say they are published even before the internet even existed. They quantify with the magazine or article image or images.
Books and magazines sold in bookstores are considered published but are always quantified properly in profiles.
We just saw a pretty lady with UBLISHED on her Instagram profile. Are you kidding us? How can you fellow prpfessionals help if you make no attempt for honesty and learning your trade? Anyone saying they are PUBLISHEd sure as hell doesn’t know much at all about professional model photography and agency work. Not a chance. Again, the world does not consider anyone in a. magazine sold on Instgra and magazines as Publish and no pro models for around 50 years since the start of the internet said they were published. Does anyone know why?
If I had a modeling daughter and some clown was saying they were scamming her saying they were Published I would be very upset. Hate the times some beginner asks us are we Published d when the only one who gets it si ce digital. The pros have retired or passed away. You couldn’t;’t be a pretender in the days of film for you would have to spend thousands.
