When putting an agency port together you need your images to video showcasing your talents and abilities. Just posing effectively doesn’t nail the gig. You need to showcase why YOU have what it takes to best handle the clients model opening because you wearing the outfit says to the potential buyer “I would love to look like that pretty model does if I bought that same outfit!
Going around the country reviewing hundreds of portfolios. we see few models are shot showcasing the outfit being sold. Our PG images sell for better than almost anyone else we know who shoots even nudes for we pose the model, showcase the outfit and shoot as a pro should shoot.
You want a ton of natural smiles in your port and images shot with others in a group, to images with the opposite sex near the waterfront, etc and have some images showing the whitest teeth or smile if you have either or both. Posing with pets for portfolio images is also a great idea..
So many models have portfolio images are hack jobs with shoulders raised losing the neck, showcasing wrinkles, creases, and then not displaying the outfit or item you are trying to sell. Just a picture of a pretty model smiling isn’t going to sell the product by itself most times. You need to nail the pose with energy, confidence so a potential buyer says, “that’s the look and confidence I’m after”.!
